Third Week


Hello again! I hope you’re well.

This week was a little hard for me. First, I didn’t quite understand the FOV algorithm, so, in order to properly apply it into the game I read a lot and decided to try two different algorithms. The first it didn’t work well and I don’t quite understand why. And with the second I could take some of the work that I’d done before, though. But the slopes are a little...

As I usually save all my variations of an algorithm in different methods I put together some of my failures in a video. SPOILER ALERT: at last, it really works and I’m glad. But there’s a little I’m missing and I think it’s because of my lack of math knowledge. But well, little by little I think.

As for this week I was supposed to apply some enemy spawning and some attacks (I think) but the FOV algorithm took a lot of time and on the weekend I got my second shot of the COVID’s vaccine and didn’t feel very healthy. So, I spent the weekend in bed watching crappy series B movies. Yes, it’s important to enjoy the life too.

And well, now it’s a speedrun: I have to properly do the last week tutorial and start this week. But I think it’s gonna be alright. Luckily, I work with my laptop so it doesn’t add too much heat on this week’s hot-hot-hot-hot-ultra-hot weather.
